Trophies and Medals for Basketball Tournaments in Quebec: A Guide for Organizers

Organizing a basketball tournament, whether in a school league, a regional sports association, or an intercommunity championship, takes a great deal of energy and planning. Among the last details to sort out are often the trophies and medals — yet these are the items players will remember for a lifetime. The first step is to clearly define your budget and the number of participants. In basketball, awards are typically given to the top three ranked teams, the most valuable players (MVP), and sometimes all participants receive a commemorative medal. Make sure to count players and officials precisely to avoid any last-minute surprises. Next comes the choice between trophies and medals. Trophies are ideal for winning teams and individual excellence awards. They can be made of resin, metal, or acrylic, and personalized with your tournament logo, the season, the winner's name, and the category. Medals, on the other hand, are easier to distribute on a larger scale, especially for junior tournaments where every participant deserves recognition. At Mr Trophée, they are available with ribbons personalized in your event's colors. Laser engraving allows you to inscribe essential information on each piece: tournament name, year, division, and even a short message of encouragement. For team trophies, a beautifully engraved plate on the base adds a professional touch that is greatly appreciated. Full-color printing is also an interesting option for integrating your logo directly onto the item in full color. As for lead times, it is recommended to place your order at least two to three weeks before your tournament date, especially if individual names need to be engraved. Mr Trophée, located in Léry in the Montérégie region, offers fast service and can deliver anywhere in Quebec and Canada, or welcome you directly at the workshop for free pickup. Finally, remember that quality awards not only honor the athletes but also enhance the image of your organization. A beautiful personalized trophy represents lasting pride — and an excellent way to keep participants coming back season after season.
