Trophies and Medals for a Dance, Gymnastics or Figure Skating Competition: A Guide for Clubs

In artistic sports, every participant steps onto the stage, the mat or the ice after a lot of hard work. A dance, gymnastics or figure skating club often has to recognize dozens, even hundreds, of athletes while keeping a reasonable budget. Here is how to plan your awards well.
Start with participation medals. They let every child go home with a keepsake, no matter the ranking. With full-colour printing, you can include the club logo, the event name and the year. The ribbon can match your organization's colours, which looks great in group photos.
For rankings, plan separate trophies or medals (gold, silver, bronze) by category: level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), age group and discipline (solo, duo, group). A laser-engraved plaque on the trophy base lets you add the category, event and year. The result is clean and long-lasting.
Don't forget the honour awards, often the most touching: judges' choice, sportsmanship, most improved, athlete of the year. These trophies recognize qualities that scores can't measure, and families remember them for a long time.
The year-end show is also a chance to thank coaches, choreographers and volunteers. A recognition plaque or a small engraved trophy is a simple gesture that makes a real difference and helps keep your team on board from one season to the next.
A few tips for a stress-free order:
- Count your participants and add about 10% for last-minute registrations.
- Check the spelling of names and categories before engraving.
- Prepare your logo in high resolution.
- Order at least two to three weeks before the event.
At Mr Trophée, we engrave and print every piece in our workshop in Léry, with the best price guaranteed in Canada. You can pick up your order at the workshop or have it delivered.
